3 nonprofits receive awards

The recipients of Hale Mahaolu’s 23rd annual Community Fundraiser are Kihei American Youth Soccer Organization’s VIP Program, Assistance Dogs of Hawaii and the Sustainable Equitable Economic Cooperative Inc.

Each of the three nonprofit organizations received a check for $2,500 to further mission goals. The Kihei AYSO VIP Program helps challenged children become soccer team players while providing respite for parents and caregivers.

Assistance Dogs of Hawaii provide assistance dogs free of charge to physically disabled children and adults.

The SEE Co-op produces affordable organic food for Maui residents while promoting the island’s food independence.

Hale Mahaolu is a private nonprofit agency that provides quality affordable rental housing and support services for the elderly, disabled and families. The fundraiser is an annual project of the Hale Mahaolu employees to help those in need.
