Free drop-in classes this week at UH Maui Fit
UH Maui Fit is offering free drop-in classes this week and a chance to win a free semester membership, as part of its “We Love Helping You Get Fit” promotion for Valentine’s Day.
The fitness center at the University of Hawaii Maui College has more than 30 weekly fitness classes, including boot camp, yoga, Fly’n HI Fitness, Muay Thai novice, Zumba, pilates, freestyle core training, self-defense and body sculpt. The center also offers open gym sessions.
During the free drop-in week from Monday to Saturday, people can attend as many classes as they want for free. They can also enter for a chance to win a free membership for the semester.
New classes this semester include body sculpt with Tara Michelle Cech at 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Balance & Base with Marcus Vegas at 6 p.m. Thursdays and self-defense with Jamie Cook at 5:30 p.m. Fridays. The center also has extended open gym hours.

After Saturday, the regular drop-in class cost is $5 for one-hour sessions and $7 for 90-minute sessions.
The cost of membership, which provides unlimited access to all classes during the semester, is $55 for UH-MC students; $75 for faculty, staff, veterans and people age 55 and over; and $90 for the public.
The semester runs through May 16.
