Thanks to donations from customers over the past few months, Pukalani Superette was able to make donations totaling $3,507 to four of Maui’s elementary Schools (Kula, Pukalani, Haiku and Makawao) and to Maui’s Women Helping Women organization.

Each school received $543.75 to help support higher education for children, and a $1,332 donation was made to Women Helping Women to assist with various events and programs offering safety, support and empowerment to women and children who are victims of domestic violence.

Pukalani Superette co-owner Aric Nakashima said, “I am really touched by the generosity of our customers that make these donations possible and help serve the community.”

Donation canisters, where customers can drop in loose change or make a donation, can be found at each Pukalani Superette checkout counter. For more information, visit www.pukalanisuperette.com.
