Three Maui County students receive scholarships

Three Maui County residents are among 10 Hawaii students who have been named recipients of the 2017 Monsanto Hawaii Life Sciences Scholarship.

Lily Jenkins of Molokai High School, Joshua Kepler of Kihei Charter School and Kaitlyn Yamada of Seabury Hall each received $1,000 to further their education.

Monsanto Hawaii’s scholarship is open to graduating seniors of all high schools in Hawaii who will be attending an accredited college or university to pursue a discipline related to the life sciences. Related fields may include agriculture, agronomy, biology, botany, genetics, horticulture, plant physiology, chemistry, crop science and soil science.
