Restaurant will turn into a ‘castle’ for Christmas feast

Early Music Maui and the Maui Madrigale will present a Celtic Renaissance Christmas Feast from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mulligans on the Blue in Wailea. These two groups have been performing a Madrigal Christmas dinner on Maui since 1992.

Mulligans on the Blue owner Michael O’Dwyer offered his establishment to be turned into a “castle” for the evening, according to an announcement. The audience will be encouraged to dance and sing along with the madrigal singers.

Also performing will be Tim Wolfe as lord of the manor and Kathy Collins as assistant to the lord. Ginny Morgan, Alfred Wolf, Irene Ryding and Elaine Olson will play Celtic, Renaissance and Christmas music on viol, soprano recorder and harps.

The cost is $50 and includes gratuity, tax and a three-course meal. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 250-8288. For more information, call Ginny Morgan at 879-4453.
