High-surf advisory still in effect for Maui, Molokai
A high-surf advisory for north- and west-facing shores of Molokai and for north-facing shores of Maui remains in effect until noon today.
A large northwest swell will continue to produce surf at advisory levels through midday today along exposed north- and west-facing shores, the National Weather Service said.
Surf heights of 12 to 18 feet are expected along north-facing shores and 8 to 12 feet along west-facing shores.
Beachgoers are urged to stay out of the water and away from the shore break due to large waves and dangerous rip currents.
