Updated: 7:15 p.m.

Four strands of electrical lines came down on Front Street in Lahaina due to a tree causing a power outage Friday afternoon from the Olowalu side of Front Street to Ukumehame, said MECO spokeswoman Kau’i Awai-Dickson.

Electrical service was restored to all customers at about 5:40 p.m., according to a MECO news release

At 3 p.m., the county reported the area from 300 Front St. to Shaw Street closed to vehicles and pedestrians due to the downed power lines. The road was reopened at about 6 p.m.
