Tossing back the catch

First photo: A crew from Parker Marine tows the beached fishing boat Reel Hooker off Kealia’s Sugar Beach on Wednesday morning. The boat was blown ashore after snapping its mooring chain and safety line during heavy Kona winds Saturday. When the boat, which is reportedly covered by insurance, was lifted by a front-loader Wednesday morning, the hull was found to be intact and the propellers not badly damaged. The propellers were removed and a salvage boat was brought in from Maalaea to tow the vessel back out to sea.
