A workout with a twist

FIRST PHOTO: Hard Naks High-Performance Speed Camp head trainer Cody Nakamura tries to untangle Joey Musto’s parachute as he sprints by Saturday morning at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu. Nakamura, who played football for Baldwin High School and Weber State University, conducts the workouts every Saturday at the plantation. Elementary-school-aged athletes train from 8 to 9 a.m. Those in intermediate school work out from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and high school athletes train from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10. First-time participants should arrive at least 20 minutes early to fill out the required paperwork.
