County offices set to relocate by June 21

Beginning Wednesday, some of the county’s Department of Planning divisions, including its Zoning Administration and Enforcement Division and director’s administrative staff, will begin moving from the Kalana Pakui building in Wailuku to nearby One Main Plaza on Main Street.

The move is expected to be complete June 21.

The Long Range Planning Division, already in One Main Plaza, is expected to complete its move within the plaza by today. It will now be located in Suite 601.

But walk-in inquiries today are being accepted in Suite 619. To reach the Long Range Division, call 270-7735.

The Current Planning Division will remain in the plaza in Suite 619.

Beginning Wednesday, calls and walk-in inquiries to the director’s administrative staff and the zoning administration and enforcement division may be made to the current division at 270-8205 or in Suite 619.

After the move is complete, the phone numbers (which will not change) and new addresses for the Planning Department at One Main Plaza at 2200 Main Street in Wailuku will be:

* Planning Department/director: 270-7735, Suite 315.

* Zoning Administration and Enforcement Division: 270-7253, Suite 335.

* Current Planning Division: 270-8205, Suite 619.

* Long Range Planning Division: 270-7214, Suite 601.

The department’s boards and commissions will continue to meet in the Planning Conference Room on the ground floor of Kalana Pakui. Public parking for walk-in inquiries and appointments will continue to be provided at the Kalana O Maui building; parking will be available in the paid parking garage at One Main Plaza.

The vacated Kalana Pakui offices are expected to be taken over by the departments of Management and Finance.
