Man arrested for allegedly striking another during rift
A Lanai City man was arrested after he allegedly struck another man during an argument last week, police said.
Christian Fiedler, 42, was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree terroristic threatening. He was released after posting $1,200 bail.
The confrontation between the two men, who knew each other, occurred at about 7 p.m. Thursday, said Lt. William Gannon, commander of the Lanai Patrol District.
He said that during the argument, Fiedler reportedly threatened to harm the other man. Fiedler also allegedly used his fist to strike the other man in the face, causing a laceration that required stitches, Gannon said.
The victim was treated at Lanai Community Hospital and released.
Fiedler was arrested the next day at Manele Boat Harbor.
