No signs of foul play in death
No signs of foul play were found in a preliminary investigation of the death of a 69-year-old Haiku man whose unresponsive body was found floating facedown in a shore break Friday morning in Tavares Bay, police Lt. William Juan said Saturday.
The man’s name remained undisclosed.
At 11:08 a.m. Friday, Paia firefighters were dispatched to Tavares Bay in Paia where they pulled the man’s body from the water and attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The man was pronounced dead after paramedics arrived at the scene.
