The 40-acre farm owned by former private chef Nui Mizel and son Kit Kalajakawan has had to dedicate more space to growing kale to meet a growing demand for the healthy food. Kalajakawan said that they now grow five different types of kale, as well as a wide variety of other crops, including papayas. They also offer free-range eggs. The farm’s produce stand is open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
