Assistance Dogs of Hawaii to have open house

Assistance Dogs of Hawaii will be holding an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at its facility at 675 Kealaloa Ave. in Makawao.

The nonprofit organization provides assistance dogs to children and adults with disabilities to help them live more independent lives. ADH trains service dogs, hospital facility dogs, seizure response dogs and other types of assistance dogs.

The organization places dogs and provides lifetime follow-up services for free.

The tour will include a training demonstration and visits with the puppies.
