Plane now waiting in the wings
FIRST PHOTO: Air Transport manager Randall Jarman loosens wing bolts on a Mokulele Airlines plane Saturday morning. Jarman and another worker from Phoenix made quick work of dismantling the aircraft’s wings and tail, stacking all removed parts onto a nearby flatbed trailer. The plane is scheduled to be loaded onto a trailer and transported to Kahului Airport this morning. Pilots of the aircraft made an emergency landing on nearby Piilani Highway on Monday after experiencing engine trouble on a flight from Kahului Airport to Kamuela on the Big Island. Eight passengers and two pilots were uninjured.
