Sharing dance and goodies

Zumba instructors for Keoni’s Hot Lava Dance Fit help Robin Lindsey (left) of Catholic Charities Hawaii load toys and gifts into a box at the Maui Mall on Saturday afternoon. The dancers made the donations after performing on the mall’s center stage. Catholic Charities Hawaii Maui Community Director Thelma Akita-Kealoha said that the donation was very appreciated. “I was getting worried that we were running out of presents,” she said. “We’re really grateful. We feel blessed.” Hot Lava Dance owner Keoni Manuel said that working up a sweat in the afternoon sun was worth it. “We’re dancing for the kids,” Manuel said. “That’s what it is all about. We love to dance. We would do it in a hurricane too.”
