Lahaina man charged with methamphetamine trafficking

A 41-year-old West Maui man has been arrested and charged with methamphetamine trafficking, according to police.

Paea Faleta was arrested Thursday after Lahaina patrol and Vice officers executed a search warrant at 6:10 a.m. on a Lahaina residence, according to a news release from the Maui Police Department. Items found during the search include 8.42 grams of crystal methamphetamine, four glass pipes, ammunition and a surveillance camera and monitor.

Faleta was charged with methamphetamine trafficking, three counts of promoting a dangerous drug, four counts of prohibited acts related to drug paraphernalia and place to keep ammunition.

Faleta’s bail was set at $17,200.
