Seat offers bird’s-eye view

First Photo: Graham Goettsch said that he wasn’t a big fan of heights, but that didn’t keep him from riding in a bosun’s chair to the top of the Cinderella’s 55-foot high mast to check its rigging Wednesday at Maalaea Harbor.

Second Photo: Goettsch is one of the owners of the 52-foot Peterson sailboat. He was helping prepare for a chartered sunset cruise. He said the former racing sailboat has been moored at Maalaea since last fall after being brought to the Big Island from Mexico. Crew member Nick Blecke said he helped deliver the boat from La Paz, Mexico. “She goes, she’s made for speed,” Blecke said.
