A fresh face for Lokelani

Housemart Ace Kihei sales associate Caleb Guarriello (second photo) helps paint his former school Thursday afternoon as he and other store employees Jackie Villegas (first photo, from left), Carlo Lubaton and John Webb apply a coat of fresh paint to the exterior walls of a Lokelani Intermediate School building. With their store closed for a scheduled termite fumigation, staff members were given the opportunity to work their regular hours while helping freshen up the school located less than a mile away.

Store Manager Douglas Duarte (not pictured) said that the store donated the manpower and $1,000 worth of high-grade paint. “The best thing is the kids,” Duarte said. “Every time the bell rings they come out in groups, ‘Thank you, thank you,’ they say. That is the reward for us, just their appreciation.”
