Rally puts a face on mental health issues

Ho’omoana Foundation Executive Director Lisa Darcy said that the sign-wavers put a face to an issue that does not receive much attention. “This is the bravest and most courageous thing for them to be out here,” Darcy said. She said people with mental health issues have been “so ashamed for so long, and they shouldn’t be. We want them to start feeling the success of recovery. You can recover. The first step is feeling good about yourself.”
