Hawaiian to add LAX flights
Hawaiian Airlines will be adding a second flight between Los Angeles and Kahului Airport from Nov. 20 to Jan. 12, the airline announced Tuesday.
Currently, the airlines flies a nonstop round trip between Los Angeles and Maui. Beginning Nov. 20, a second flight will be added that will range from four times weekly to daily over the seven weeks of service, the airline said. More than 20,000 seats will be added to the route.
The new flight, Hawaiian 55, will depart Los Angeles at 1:30 p.m. and arrive on Maui at 5:10 p.m. The return flight, Hawaiian 56, will depart Kahului at 10 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles the next day at 5:10 a.m.
In addition, a fourth flight between Los Angeles and Honolulu will be added beginning Dec. 5.
Both seasonal flight additions will be in twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, seating 264 passengers in a two-class cabin, with 18 in business class and 246 in the main cabin, the airline said.
