Helping with habitats

SECOND PHOTO: The eighth annual Build-a-Thon conducted Friday and Saturday helped move the 16-unit condo closer to completion. It is designed to provide homeownership to people who earn between 25 and 80 percent of the median income. Habitat for Humanity Maui Executive Director Sherri Dodson said her agency is still accepting applications for potential owners of the condos that will sell from $200,000 to $225,000. She said mortgages will be kept low because the agency will be carrying the note and providing zero percent interest. Potential buyers can contact Habitat for Humanity Maui at 242-1140.
