Man alleged to have pulled gun

A Kihei man was arrested Wednesday for using a handgun to threaten another person after they argued over an incident involving a vehicle being scratched, police said.

Raul Sabas, 49, was released after posting $1,000 bail on a charge of first-degree terroristic threatening.

He was arrested after police went to Kaiwahine Street in Kihei to investigate a report of disorderly conduct at 10:58 p.m.

After Sabas and the other person got into an argument about the vehicle being scratched, Sabas brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victim, police said.

Police recovered the automatic handgun.

Additional charges against Sabas are pending, police said.
