Country star Church is coming to Maui

The Maui News – Country star Eric Church will hold his first Maui concert Dec. 2 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center A&B Amphitheater/Yokouchi Pavilion.

Appearing with Church will be Lee Ann Womack, Lucas Nelson, Robert Earl Keen, Shawn Camp, Liz Rose and Charlie Worsham.

The concert is part of the BMI Maui Songwriters Festival and will be hosted by national radio broadcaster Storme Warren.

The Eric Church & Friends concert on Maui will be the group’s only show in Hawaii.

Church is a two-time Country Music Association and five-time Academy of Country Music Award winner. His most recent album, “Mr. Misunderstood,” was released last November.

His recording of “The Outsiders” reached platinum status, marking more than 1 million albums sold. Debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart, “The Outsiders” garnered Grammy, CMA and ACM Album of the Year nominations and featured his No.1 hits “Give Me Back My Hometown” and “Talladega.”

Showtime is 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m.

Tickets for this concert go on sale to MACC members Saturday and to the general public Oct. 29. They are $39, $69, $89 and a limited number of $129 Gold Circle seats.

A portion of the concert proceeds benefits the BMI Foundation, Leis Family Charities and the MACC, all of which are nonprofit organizations.
