Second comedy show added at MACC

Due to demand, a second “Here Comes The Funny Tour” show featuring live performances by Adam Sandler, David Spade and Rob Schneider has been added for March 31 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

The added show will begin at 9:30 p.m. The first show, at 7 p.m., has sold out, according to an announcement from the MACC.

Tickets for the 9:30 p.m. show go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday to MACC members and Saturday to the general public.

This show contains adult content and is recommended for adult audiences only.

Tickets cost $35, $65, $85 and $125 plus applicable fees. To purchase, call the MACC Box Office at 242-7469 or go online at mauiarts.org.

Entries sought for Summer Fun Guide

The Maui News will be publishing a Summer Fun Guide of activities for children and teens on April 9.

To have an activity included in the guide, submit the following information:

* Name of program and for what ages.

* Sponsoring organization or business.

* Program times and dates.

* Location of the program.

* Description of program.

* Cost of the program.

* Contact information.

The deadline to submit information is noon March 31. Year-round programs will not be accepted for the guide.

Information may be emailed to Leah Sherman at lsherman@mauinews.com, faxed to 242-9087 or mailed to Summer Fun Guide, The Maui News, 100 Mahalani St., Wailuku 96793.

Photos may be submitted for use on a space-available basis. Shots of people doing things are preferable; group shots are unlikely to be used. Photos may be emailed in tif, jpg or eps formats with a minimum resolution of 300 pixels per inch. Individuals in photos must by identified by first and last name.

Applications availabe for Nov. festival

Product vendor and food truck applications are available for the fourth annual Made in Maui County Festival set for Nov. 3 to 4 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Businesses that meet the following criteria are eligible to qualify as a product vendor. They must:

* Be based in Maui County and hold a current general excise tax license.

* Sell products that are made, manufactured, grown and or created in Maui County. (Products may include source materials made and/or found in Hawaii.)

* Meet minimum 51 percent “Made in Hawaii” product valuation.

A dozen food trucks will be featured Nov. 4, the public festival day. There also will be a three food trucks on Nov. 3, a special preview shopping day for businesses. Last year, the festival drew more than 11,000 residents and visitors.

Applications will be reviewed June 5 through July 7. Businesses will be notified of selection on or before July 14.

The festival is presented by the county Office of Economic Development and the Maui Chamber of Commerce.
