Wells Park plan is topic of meetings

Meetings to discuss the Wells Park Master Plan will be held in Wailuku on April 6 and 7.

The first meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. April 6 at Calvary Chapel at 31 N. Market St. Participants may enter through the front door, which is accessible through the municipal parking lot.

The second meeting is from 6 to 9 p.m. April 7 at Iao Square, next to the Iao Theater.

The final concept plan for Wells Park will be displayed. County staff and project consultants will be available to answer questions. Information on the projected phasing of the project will be provided.

Recycling event set for Hana Landfill

A metals and electronics recycling event at the Hana Landfill will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 6 to 8. The collection event is free for residents only. Commercial waste will be accepted for a fee.

Participants need to call ahead to arrange drop-off and fees.

Items accepted include scrap metals, appliances, tires (15 limit), auto batteries, propane tanks and electronics.
