It’s a voggy day in paradise
Thick vog blankets Maui’s central valley Saturday. A weak surface ridge is expected to persist in the vicinity of the islands, which should maintain light winds with muggy and hazy conditions for the next several days, the National Weather Service said Sunday night. Trade wind weather is expected to return by the end of the week as a front moves down the island chain. The University of Hawaii’s Vog Measurement and Prediction Project website shows the vog blowing over Maui County and Oahu with the current weather conditions.
