Rain gone but not forgotten

Thursday-morning traffic on South Kihei Road passes through a puddle left by Wednesday’s drenching rains that flooded parts of the road. The area of low pressure that helped trigger the rainfall is moving northward away from the islands and all advisories were lifted Thursday. The southerly wind pattern will continue into next week, creating muggy and hazy conditions. Today should be partly cloudy with scattered showers. High temperatures are expected to be 77 to 82 degrees with lows expected to be 70 to 75 degrees.
