Dui Sentences

THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of Aug. 25 to Sept. 8. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Michael Gutekunst, 45, Kahului; DUI, lack of due care; $150 fine, $437 in fees.

Joseph Martelles Jr., 37, Makawao; DUI; $300 fine plus fees.

Taj McDonald, 46, Kula; DUI; $500 fine, $437 in fees.

Joanna Meyer, age unavailable, Kula; DUI (drugs), lack of due care; $350 in fines plus fees.

Renwick Silbanuz, 36, Kahului; DUI (two counts), driving after license suspended or revoked, child safety seat violation; three-day jail term, $700 in fines, plus fees, two-year license revocation.

Andrew Wendt, 31, Kihei; DUI; $150 fine, $437 in fees.
