Health office seeks interpreters
English-speaking interpreters for Micronesian languages are being sought for health, judiciary and community matters, according to an announcement from the state Department of Health.
Anyone interested in being an interpreter should attend a free informational meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Hale Makua Board Room. It is located at 472 Kaulana St. in Kahului.
“Maui is in need of qualified language interpreters, and this meeting will inform attendees of what is needed to be a qualified interpreter,” the announcement says.
