Homes commission to meet next week
The Hawaiian Homes Commission will meet next week at the Lahaina Civic Center, according to an announcement.
Regular meetings are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday, but the announcement says meeting times are subject to change. Check dhhl.hawaii.gov for updates.
Also scheduled is a Department of Hawaiian Home Lands meeting with Maui homestead communities from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, also at the civic center. The agenda calls for an update from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on the department’s activities, a homestead community update from 7 to 7:30 p.m., and an open house from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
During the open house, representatives of the department’s divisions will be available for one-on-one consultations with beneficiaries. Community organizations will staff information booths.
Anyone needing sign-language interpretation or disabled accessible parking must request an accommodation at least five days before the meeting. For more information, contact the department’s Information and Community Relations Office on Oahu at (808) 620-9590.
