Venus and Jupiter

Baldwin High science teacher Hannibal Starbuck took this photo of Venus and Jupiter within a half-degree of each other Monday morning over Haleakala. The photo was taken from Maui Veterans Highway, formerly known as Mokulele Highway. Other planets to appear this month are Saturn in the western sky in the evening and Mars before sunrise, according to space.com.
