Car dealer Jim Falk (right) gives away 250 bicycles to keiki from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui on Friday morning in the Valley Isle Motors showroom in Kahului. The giveaway had originally been planned for Wednesday but had to be changed due to stormy weather. This is the seventh year Falk has presented bikes to kids in need. This year, he’s giving away 357 bikes, with some being delivered to Molokai on the boats of island fishermen. Helping assemble the bikes this year were community volunteers, including firefighters and police officers. “It’s great to see all the smiling faces,” Falk said as children took turns coming up to say shake his hand, say “thank you” and sometimes give him a big hug.
