Molokai toys delivered with a U.S. Coast Guard assist
The Salvation Army’s Kahului Corps last week delivered 1,200 holiday gifts to keiki and kupuna in need on Molokai, with the assistance of the U.S. Coast Guard Maui Station. Most of the gifts, 1,100 of them, were toys with the remaining being keiki clothes and gifts for kupuna. The Salvation Army Lt. Romelia Howard and Cadet Shelby Hanauer rode along with the gifts as they made their way over the channel to Molokai from Maui in a trip that took an hour and 15 minutes. The gifts were presented to Gina Kuahuia from The Salvation Army Molokai Corps. More than 500 children and 30 seniors will receive gifts through the delivery.
