Teenager injured in fall from sixth-floor window

A 13-year-old juvenile suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday morning after falling from the sixth-floor window of a South Maui condominium, police said.

At 9:28 a.m. Sunday, emergency crews were dispatched to a condominium on South Kihei Road in response to the incident. The juvenile was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition, said Maui Police Department spokesman Lt. Gregg Okamoto.

Preliminary investigation reveals no signs of foul play, Okamoto said. The case was classified as a miscellaneous accident.

Fire Services Chief Edward Taomoto said that a Kihei crew also responded to the incident.
