Ige releases AC money for UH-MC
Gov. David Ige has released $1.1 million for air-conditioning improvements at the University of Hawaii Maui College, according to an announcement from Central Maui state Rep. Joe Souki.
The funds are for the design and construction of air-conditioning upgrades at the college’s Kaaike and Paina buildings, Souki said.
“These buildings’ air-conditioning systems were in sore need of improvement, and it will surely benefit our students,” he said.
The Kaaike building serves as the campus’s technology center while the Paina building houses the college’s cafeteria and culinary arts program.
