High-surf advisory extends to today
A high-surf advisory for east-facing shores of Maui and Molokai has been extended to 6 tonight by the National Weather Service.
A north swell is decreasing, dropping surf along north-facing shores below advisory levels, the weather service said. However, surf along east-facing shores is expected to remain above advisory levels through today.
The surf is expected to reach 5 to 8 feet.
Strong shore breaks and rip currents are expected.
