Downed lines trigger outage
A broken bolt sent down a span of power lines near the intersection of Aku Place and Kaahumanu Avenue at 12:39 p.m. Monday, triggering a power outage for about 150 customers in Wailuku and Kahului, said Maui Electric Co. spokeswoman Shayna Decker.
Most customers had power returned by 1:30 p.m., and a remaining five saw electricity back online at 3:12 p.m., she said.
No injuries were reported.
