Chapo, a high-jumping, fast-running Chihuahua-fox terrier mix from Wailuku, tears after a tennis ball thrown by owner Daisy Franco at the Keopuolani Dog Park on Thursday morning. Franco said Chapo’s energy and intelligence combine to make him an escape artist. “He climbs fences and stuff,” she said. “He’s always getting out.” Visits to the dog park are one of his favorite activities. “He loves it here,” Franco said. “Every time we drive by he starts whining and scratching the window.”
