The state’s Executive Office on Early Learning is opening up more free preschool classrooms, including some at public schools on Molokai and Maui, for the upcoming 2018-19 school year.

Each classroom is equipped to serve 20 prekindergartners. The classrooms are staffed with a licensed teacher and an educational assistant.

On Maui, the classroom will be at Kula Elementary and on Molokai at Kilohana Elementary.
