Tai chi master offers class in Kihei
Tai chi master Alfred Huang, author of “The Complete Tai Chi,” and his senior student, Lorena Zuluaga, will be teaching a 36-short-form of Wu style tai chi chuan from 9 to 10:30 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday in July at Keolahou Church in Kihei.
Huang, 97, is founder of Seeking Harmony — Maui Centenarian Club and wants to share his experience in how to live long, healthily and happily, according to an announcement. The classes are $45 a month. To register, send email to email@example.com.

Huang also offers a class at Kaunoa Senior Center in Spreckelsville from 9 to 10:30 a.m. every Friday. The cost is $35 per month. To register, call 270-7308.

Obon service, dance in Wailuku
Wailuku Shingon Mission at 1939 North St. will hold its obon service and dance on Saturday.
The service begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by dance at 7:30.
Writing classes set for summer
Story Studio, writing classes hosted by Barnes & Noble and led by writer and teacher N.T. (Nancy) Arevalo, will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays this summer at Barnes & Noble, 270 Dairy Road in Kahului.
The cost is $125. There will be no class on July 4.

SAS Class of ’68 plans reunion
The men and women of St. Anthony High School Class of 1968 are planning a 50th year class reunion this summer.
* BYOB get-together at Eddie Tam Community Center Hall in Makawao from 5:30 to 10 p.m. June 29.
* St. Anthony annual Ho’olaule’a at St. Anthony’s Sullivan Field in Wailuku from 5 to 10 p.m. June 30.
* Mass at St Anthony Church at 9 a.m. July 1 to honor deceased classmates, with brunch to follow at Tante’s Island Cuisine in Kahului.
