Help sought to find unicorn float owner
The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking the public’s help to identify the owner of a white unicorn float found off Olowalu Beach on Saturday.
Mariners aboard the recreational sailboat Volpaia found the float adrift with no signs of the owners at 1:30 p.m.
The Coast Guard issued a notice to mariners to keep a lookout for any signs of distress.
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point and a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Maui were deployed to search the area.
The Coast Guard asks anyone with information about the float to call the Sector Honolulu Command Center at (808) 842-2600.
