Dui Sentences

The following sentences for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of Oct. 15 to 18. The listings include the offender’s name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

Brandon Gomes Jr., 23, Haliimaile; DUI (with passenger under age 15 in vehicle), no insurance, child passenger restraint violation for child between ages 4 and 7 not in booster or safety seat; two-day jail term, $650 in fines, plus fees, two-year license revocation.

Faryn Kasahara, 31, Kahului; DUI; $150 fine, $437 in fees, three-year license revocation.

Felipe Barrios Restrepo, 28, Haiku; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees.

Lahaina District Court:

James Marion Gaither Jr., age unavailable, Maywood, N.J., and Lahaina; DUI; $150 fine, plus fees.

Kammy Hodges, 29, Haiku; DUI, accidents involving bodily injury, no insurance; $350 in fines, plus fees.
