‘Grand Rally’ to be held Wednesday

Gov. David Ige, U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz and U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard will be among guest speakers during the Maui County Democratic Party’s “Grand Rally” beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Velma McWayne Santos Community Center in Wailuku.

Other scheduled speakers include state Democratic Party Chairman Tim Vandeveer and surrogates for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, according to an announcement.

Informational booths will be staffed by candidates, and the Maui High School band is scheduled to perform.

The free event is open to Democrats or those supporting Democratic candidates.
