KCA hosts Tuesday candidate forum

The Kihei Community Association will hold a candidate forum during its general membership meeting, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Theresa Church parish hall, according to an announcement.

The association will hear from the candidates for the South Maui 11th District House seat. They are Nonpartisan Daniel Kanahele and Democrats Don Couch, Ollie Myrick and Tina Wildberger. Also on the association’s agenda are the candidates for the West and South Maui 6th Senate District seat, incumbent Democrat Roz Baker and her primary challenger, Terez Amato, and Green Party candidate Melissah Shishido.

The meeting is open to all. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The association urges members to bring donations of nonperishable food or checks to the Maui Food Bank.

The church is at 25 W. Lipoa St.
