King to hold kickoff campaign event
Council Member Kelly King, who holds the South Maui residency seat, will be holding a campaign kickoff event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.
There will be live entertainment, including George Kahumoku Jr., door prizes, heavy pupu and one complimentary drink ticket. The cost is $100.

Wildberger gets Sierra Club backing
Tina Wildberger, a Democrat who is running for the state House District 11 South Maui seat, has received the endorsement of the Hawaii Chapter of the Sierra Club.
