Class to prepare for Israel trip

A pilgrimage in April is being planned for those who want to help Israel celebrate its 70th birthday as a nation. Registration and a special preparatory class will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Faith In Jesus Church, 432 Waiehu Beach Road in Wailuku. The trip will be for two weeks and will cover the main biblical and historical sites in Israel for those who have never visited.

For those who have already visited Israel, there will be a Jerusalem-intensive tour, including the birthday celebration and a cruise following the footsteps of Saint Paul, visiting ports in Turkey and Greece. It will include visiting the Isle of Patmos where Saint John wrote about his revelation.

Pastors will have a discounted fare if they are able to recruit. For more information, call Pastor Barbara Tengan at 276-1005.

Bible study class begins Aug. 18

Pastor Doug Batchelor will present a Bible study experience with facts and spiritual discoveries at 6 p.m. each evening from Aug. 18 to 26 at Kahului Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This Bible study is designed for keiki and adults. All are welcome to this free event. Refreshments will be provided.

The church is located at 261 S. Puunene Ave. in Kahului.
