Harvest Party at Pukalani Baptist

Pukalani Baptist Church will have a Harvest Party from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a free dinner, games, prizes, cakewalk, costume parade and fun for all ages.

Israel topic of lecture series

The Transformation School of Ministries will host a special series of lectures titled “The Miraculous Rebirth of the Nation of Israel” from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8, and 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Faith in Jesus Church in Wailuku. There will be a lunch break at 11:30. Nov. 10 and the session after lunch will include a question-and-answer period.

The speaker will be professor John W. Swails, chairman of Middle Eastern Studies at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla. Swails is a researcher and historian used by many organizations that have a special interest in Israel.

A suggested donation of $10 will be applied for materials and refreshments for nonstudents. To register and for further information, call Faith in Jesus Church at 244-1286. The church is located at 432 Waiehu Beach Road.

Disciple-making theme of talk

Pastors David Crim and Franco Ferrer will present the “Seven Habits of a Disciple-Making Church” from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 7 at Valley Isle Fellowship in Wailuku.

They will be accompanied by their spouses, Cindy Crim and Pau Ferrer, as well as disciple-makers from the International Baptist Church of Manila in the Philippines. The presenters will share stories about being discipled and being disciple-makers.

David and Cindy Crim are missionaries to the Philippines. The two were educated at Oklahoma Baptist University and have been in the field in the Philippines for almost eight years.

Franco and Pauline (Pau) Ferrer have been serving on the staff at the International Baptist Church of Manila for three years. The two were educated at the University of the Philippines. Franco is beginning his graduate studies at the Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary in Penang, Malaysia. Both are lead trainers of disciple-making at IBC Manila.
