Thanksgiving event planned for homeless

The Faith In Jesus Church in Waiehu invites the community to join in hosting a Thanksgiving celebration for the homeless people in the area.

On Wednesday, the Samoan Methodist Church will serve a Samoan-style dinner in preparation for Thanksgiving. Members of the congregation will decorate the church starting at 5 p.m. and serve dinner at 7.

On Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, there will be a joint service at 10 a.m. and a luncheon to follow. Community members or guests may join by calling 244-1286.

Thanksgiving meal offered at chapel

Harvest at Kumulani Chapel will serve a free Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in Hale Hokulani (The Barn) on Office Road in Kapalua.

Parking is located across the street behind Sansei restaurant.

All are invited to enjoy a family-style Thanksgiving meal.
