Ethel “Dolly” Leina’ala Costa passed peacefully into her eternal home on Monday, October 21, 2013.
Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services at Borthwick Norman’s Mortuary on Friday, November 1st, 2013. Visitation will begin 9:30 a.m. with services at 11:30 a.m. Private burial to follow. Family requests lei only.
Dolly was born on July 23, 1933 in Makawao, Maui to Joseph and Leilani Pana. She worked as a housekeeper at the Maui Palms Hotel for over 10 years and Kaiser Permanente Clinic for Nearly 25 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, tending to her orchids, and cooking.
She is predeceased by her husband, Herman Costa, Sr. and daughter, Sharon Costa. Survived by two daughters, Paulette “Nuni” (Issac) Kaea and Linda “Lyn” (Atta) Hoewaa, three sons, Herman “Bradda” Costa, Jr., Glenn “Mo’o” (Joanne) Costa Sr., and Maxwell “Maka” (Patty), a brother, Joseph Pana Jr., 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
